Jamie’s January 2023 Recap

by | Feb 1, 2023 | News

This month was big for the Jamie Reitenour for Governor 2024 campaign. On January 6, 2023 Jamie announced her candidacy in Wabash, Indiana, officially declaring she was running for governor.

Why Wabash?

Wabash was the first electrically lighted city in the world! Jamie and her team are on a mission to “let the light shine” in Indiana, and where better to start than our very own historically monumental city?

On January 6, 2023, Jamie started her day in Lawrence, Indiana, very early. She then took a trip to Corydon and enjoyed conversation with the locals at the Frederick’s Cafe breakfast diner. Corydon residents were surprised to discover that Jamie knew Corydon was the first capital of the State of Indiana, which was her reason for visiting, as the history of our State is essential.

Jamie enjoyed some more conversation and then headed up to Wabash, Indiana. There, she met with Mayor Long at Modoc’s Market and then made her official campaign announcement around 3:00 P.M. at the Charlie Creek Inn. Afterwards, she spent time with local business owners, discussing the future of Indiana. The final event of the night was an informal gathering at the Honeywell Center in Wabash where Jamie spoke and gave the vision for the State of Indiana. The time was especially encouraging when many pulled up a chair afterward to discuss the matters on Jamie’s heart.

We are excitedly moving forward, and though we are not yet permitted to promote the campaign or receive financial support during this time (not until April 29, 2023), Jamie and her team will not stop working for the State of Indiana.

Be a Giver!
