Let us not be simple or mocking, let us not be fools that hate knowledge. Forgive us Lord for not seeking your wisdom, for pursuing our own way, for not listening to your guidance Lord. We open our ears and our hearts to you Lord and we ask the Holy Spirit come minister to our hearts. Give us understanding of Your word, oh Lord. We will listen to your wisdom Lord, for whoever listens to you will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm. Help us be wise, and grow closer to you and behold the wonderful maker you are…Amen.

Day 2

A prayer from Proverbs 2

Prayer:

Dear Lord,

We receive your words, and treasure your commands. We listen devoted to you. We want to understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For you give wisdom and from your mouth come knowledge and understanding. You store up sound wisdom for the upright and you are a shield for those who walk uprightly. You guard the path of justice and preserve the way of Your saints. Help us understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. Let wisdom enter our hearts and knowledge be pleasant to our souls. Let discretion preserve us and understanding keep us. Deliver us from the way of evil, from those who speak perverse things, from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness. Lord there are many ungodly ways seeking to entice us from your goodness, but keep us, oh Lord, in the paths of righteousness. For the upright will dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it. We seek your face oh Lord – be glorified in me.

Day 3

Dear Lord,

Let my heart keep your commands. Let not mercy and truth forsake me but Lord bind them about my neck. Write them on the tablet of my heart. Help me trust in you with all that I am, not lean on own my understanding, acknowledge you in all ways, and in this you Lord promise to direct my paths. Thank you. Help me not to be wise in my own eyes, but to be in awe of you and depart from evil, for seeing you this way will be health to my flesh and strength to my bones. Help me to honor you with my possessions and the first fruits of what you give me, that I will have much to continue to give. Help me not despise your correction, for like a good father, You correct those You love. Happy may I be finding wisdom and gaining understanding. For the proceeds of wisdom and understanding are better than profits of silver and fine gold. Finding wisdom and understanding is more precious than rubies, all things I may desire cannot compare to these. Length of days, riches and honor, pleasantness and peace, wisdom and understanding are all like a tree of life to those who take hold, may I keep them humbly. By wisdom Lord you founded the earth. By understanding you established the Heavens. By knowledge the depths were broken up and the clouds drop down the dew. Lord let not knowledge, understanding, and wisdom depart from my eyes, but may I keep sound wisdom and discretion that they may be life to my soul and grace to my neck. Then I will walk safely, my foot will not stumble, I will not be afraid and I will rest well, for You oh Lord are my confidence, you will keep my foot from being caught. May I not withhold good from those who deserve it when it is in the power of my hand to do so. May I not devise evil against my neighbor, but safety. May I not strive with any without cause who have done me no harm. May I not envy the oppressor, nor choose their ways, for the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord,  but the Lord’s secret counsel is with the upright. The Lord blesses the home of the just. The Lord scorns the scornful, and gives grace to the humble. The wise will inherit glory, but shame shall be the legacy of fools, so Lord please give me wisdom.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear Lord,

In wisdom let us cry out, in understanding let us lift our voice, let us stand tall on a high hill beside the way where the paths meet, and let us know we are simple. We need to understand prudence and be of an understanding heart. Let us speak with your wisdom that speaks truth, and righteousness, nothing crooked or perverse. Let us receive your instruction, and not silver. Let us receive your knowledge, rather than choice gold. All the things one may desire, cannot be compared to your wisdom. Let us be prudent, in awe of you Lord, and hating evil. Let not pride and arrogance have its way in our hearts, but may we have sound wisdom that brings counsel, understanding and strength. May you fill us with wisdom. May we seek you diligently. May we travel the way of righteousness, and in so doing, may we cause those who are wise to inherit wealth and treasure. In your Word it says wisdom was possessed at the beginning of your way Oh Lord, that you established wisdom from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was ever an earth. When there were no depths, wisdom was brought forth. When there were no fountains abounding with water, there was wisdom. Before the mountains settled, before the hills, fields, primal dusts of the world, Lord you brought forth wisdom. When you prepared the heavens Lord, wisdom was there, when You drew a circle on the face of the deep, established the clouds above, strengthened the fountains of the deep, assigned the sea its limit so waters would not transgress Your command, wisdom was there. Wisdom was there when you marked out the foundations of the earth. As a master craftsman wisdom became a delight, rejoicing always with you Lord in Your inhabited world. Blessed are those who keep your way Oh Lord, who desire Your wisdom. Blessed are those who listen to wisdom, watch daily for wisdom, wait for wisdom; for whoever finds wisdom, finds life. Whoever finds wisdom obtains favor from the Lord; but those who sin against wisdom wrong their own soul. Let us desire your wisdom oh Lord, be in Awe of you, let us not sin against you oh Lord, for there is no greater wisdom than your wisdom. Teach us your way we pray.
